Teams Windows Desktop Clients are reverting to earlier versions

Brass Contributor

Teams Windows Desktop Clients are reverting to earlier versions (example: 1.3.00.19173) and then the user is notified "Looks like you're on an older version of Teams. Update in ## days to continue using the App. Download." Updating is performed by clicking on the Download button. But then the version that is loaded is still older than what we have seen recently (1.3.00.28779) and not near any of the recent versions.

Note: forcing the update does not work in this instance and cleaning the Teams cache doesn't assist either.

Hi! There’s definitely some question marks regarding the update procedure and lately there’s been quite a few questions about updates! The teams team is aware!

I haven't noticed any reversions but a lot of the clients in our environment are stuck with a version from November. It looks like the client does check for an update but the MS servers tell it no update is available.

@LaurieBeamish

Laurie, you posted this on the 19th.  Today is the 27th and the issue is still happening.  Has there been any word from the Microsoft Teams team on when we can expect a resolution?  This is eating up alot of support time for my team.
