Teams webinar view only attendees

Does anyone know if the view only option is now enabled for Teams webinars when the number of attendees exceeds 1000?

I've found conflicting information on this online - some indicates that up to 10,000 can join in view only mode, whereas elsewhere it seems this functionality is only available for Teams calls.

I'd be grateful if someone was able to clarify.

A Teams webinar is a Teams meeting in the end, so the Teams meetings limit apply in my opinion: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/limits-specifications-teams

Thanks @Juan Carlos González Martín. That would make sense, but Microsoft include the following statement on that page which indicates otherwise 'The view-only experience will soon be available for webinars as well' 

You could read that to mean that the upper limit for webinars is 1000, which is going to cause problems for our business.
