Teams Web Access with Outlook app

When we use Teams Web access, is it possible to get presence in outlook app?

This certainly does not appear to work when I try it in the Outlook Web App.   Additionally, this doc seems to suggest that this is only expected to work in Desktop versions of Outlook - 2013 and above;
