Teams walkie talkie feature doesn't show all teams

Brass Contributor

Hello mates

I've recently deployed the teams walkie talkie feature over the global app policy. But there is one problem:

When I go into the WT function on teams for android, I see not all teams. Why is this? Has it to do with the amount of members in the team? What am I missing?

In the picture below, there should be two more teams. The teams that are missing have over 5 members. The teams that are shown have below 5 members. That's what I noticed.

Please help me. Thanks so much. :)

Hi @preuley30

A few questions:
- Are the other two teams org wide teams?
- If they are not org wide Teams, are they public or private
- What are you in those two other Teams? A member or an owner, how does this compare to the other teams
- Are the two other teams visible?
- Do those two other teams have sensitivity labels on them?
- Do others see those teams (I.e. is it just you)
- Have you signed out and back into the app and see if they surface
- Is there anything in those Teams that distinguish them from others (I.e. do they contain private channels whereas the others do not)

Whilst not impossible, it seems odd that it would limit it to 5 or under as I am sure use cases would demand more.

Let me know how it goes

Best, Chris

Hi Christopher, thanks for your answer. And excuse my late answer.

  • Are the other two teams org wide teams?
    • none of the teams are org wide
  • If they are not org wide Teams, are they public or private
    • they are all private
  • What are you in those two other Teams? A member or an owner, how does this compare to the ther teams
    • I'm owner in every team
  • Are the two other teams visible?
    • yes they are visible
  • Do those two other teams have sensitivity labels on them?
    • no, none of the teams have sensitivity labels
  • Do others see those teams (I.e. is it just you)
    • yes, the other members see those teams
  • Have you signed out and back into the app and see if they surface
    • yes I tried that and it solved my problem! Thanks! The lost teams are now showing up.
  • Is there anything in those Teams that distinguish them from others (I.e. do they contain private channels whereas the others do not)
    • there is one teams that have private channels, but this team shows up in the list

Thank you so much Christopher for your questions. You helped me very much.

Best regards

Alexej

@preuley30

You can only use public channels for Walkie Talkie, they don’t support private channels. I know this is an old post. I don’t think it’s changed cause I tested this yesterday.
