Teams using an obnoxious amount of battery

Copper Contributor

I have a MacBook Pro 13" (2019, 2 thunderbolt ports) and I have noticed that Teams is using and abnormal amount of energy while being in a meeting. Somedays I am needing to charge my battery up to 3 times, compared to my normal usage, which gives me about a day and a half of battery life. My school is using this platform and I have no other options. It is very disappointing that Microsoft's developers are doing nothing about this problem, which has been around for more than a year from what I have heard. If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve Teams power usage, I'd be very happy to try some. Either way, my recommendation is stay away from Teams if you can!

Yes, I have, but I couldn't see a noticeable difference. Thanks for the suggestion!
