Greetings, I did research this before posting. So far I've been impressed with Teams. However, we're having an issue with the screensharing, I understand that it is accessed via the video call function. But when we do the other party cannot see the initiators screen at all. This was tested with local firewall disabled and monitoring the gateway firewall for any blocked packets, but none were seen. I feel like this must be something simple as I see people discussing successfull use of it. Thanks for any suggestions.

The same issue occurs for me. I think it might be a graphics card issue but I'm not sure. I have multiple monitors and have found that the issue occurs when sharing the secondary monitor, otherwise the primary monitor works just fine.

I have the exact same issue with teams.

It is happening on a Dell laptop.

I have uninstalled, cleared all cache files and reinstalled Teams but get the same thing.  All shared extended monitors appear as a black screen for others and only see the pointer.  If you share the main screen, it works fine.

 

Did you end up finding a solution to this?

I had a different issue I was solving on my machine when I found that all my monitors needed to have the same "zoom" size such as 100%. Try checking your display settings to ensure all monitors have the same number such as 100% for the menu that says "Change the size of text, apps, and other items" Since then I haven't seen the issue I posted about above.

Did anyone find a solution? I have this problem too and on top of it all, it's intermittent. I have made sure Teams is on the latest version and cleared cache and all the other things. This is VERY frustrating and I NEVER had a problem like this on Slack.

I'm having the exact same issue, has anyone figured it out?

I think I have the same problem, but specifically, I'm unable to share my 34" dell monitor on Teams. I don't know if it's the large monitor, or the fact that I have the scaling set higher on the display so the fonts & icons aren't so microscopic.

 

GoToMeeting screensharing doesn't have this problem at all.

@Brynn_J I know this won't help, but for whatever reason it magically started working for me Wednesday of last week. I have changed NOTHING. So no idea why

This problem suddenly went away for me in late April of 2020 - I changed nothing.

@Donovon Dildine I have the same issue appeared out of nowhere few months ago. I can't use teams when I need to share my second desktop (my first desktop is laptop's screen which is small and I can't use it). My laptop is also microsoft, operation system is win-10 pro and teams doesn't work properly.

 

Here's my solution: stop using Teams and switch to AWS-Chimes or zoom.. event whatsapp..

This issue is older than my little boy, my boy started walking now but MS is still unable to solve this.
