Teams Phones not showing correct names

Hi Everyone --

 

We implemented Teams Phones throughout our org. Unfortunately, when calling out, some users phone numbers are showing on the receiving caller id with a different name. I understand that this has to do with CNAM and how the numbers are registered. Is there any way to hard set this in the Teams admin console? For example, if Jane Doe is assigned the number, when they call out, the person receiving the call sees Jack Smith calling.

Hi,

Depends on multiple factor on the CNAM for the users. You can check with the Caller Id section in the Teams Admin center. Now when you are using Teams Phone are you using Calling Plans vs Direct Routing vs Operator Connect?

This is also depends on both the carrier. One carrier from where you are making the call and Second carrier to which the calls are made.
