Hello,

Why would a meeting that i created in teams, no longer have my ID as the meeting organizer? I noticed that the meeting organizer is now the Team itself.

How can i now update or cancel the meeting? My account is no longer associated with the "Meeting Organizer" security principle.

Thanks for your assistance.

Is this when you create a channel meeting?

Yes it was a channel meeting. Having created a reoccurring meeting for my team, I can now no longer cancel or edit the meeting. The organizer attribute has the name of the "team" rather than my name.

These meetings should be visible and editable through the office 365 group calendar!

Ok! where are you trying to edit the meeting! If I create a channel meeting in teams Im still the organizer!

If I add a room also, in the room calendar the organizer says the team not me! I can still edit the meeting from teams though

  1. I created the meeting in the first place in teams, selected the "repeat" button, and selected the Team.
  2. I then edited the meeting in Outlook as i wanted to repeat the daily meeting on weekdays only. This option is not available within the Teams client.
  3. At this point the organizer of the meeting had changed and I can longer edit the calendar entry from Outlook, Teams, or Calendar (via the portal).

I had the exact same issue.  Was able to solve as follows:

- Go to Outlook Web Access (possibly also works in outlook for desktop, did not test)

- In left nav, expand "Groups"

- Select the group which is now the owner of the meeting

- Select the new instance of the meeting that shows on your calendar (should be right beside the one that was already there)

- it is now editable / cancellable

Hi!

If the group is not shown in the Outlook web version, I only found one way to solve this:

- Go to Access Panel Applications: https://account.activedirectory.windowsazure.com/r#/applications

- Open Groups

- Find and open the group you were looking for

- Under the group name you can see Group Links: Outlook, click on Outlook

- Now you should be in your group Outlook, and be able to find the meetings from the group calendar

Hope this works! Have a nice day!
