I downloaded teams to my laptop, now cannot log in. Seems to be somewhat of a global problem that just began happening Wednesday 11/17/2020. Is there a problem on your end?

Not aware of any global issues, and given the scale of O365 such issue would've made the press already. I'd suggest check things on your end, if possible try via a different network (mobile network for example).
