Teams Live Events

Copper Contributor

I just updated to the Microsoft Teams 1.3.00.12058 64 bit and I would see which were the main differences and new features introduced into this may 2020 update.

What I'm looking for, are the live events features, in which moderators can orchestrate the live cameras, activate and deactivate microphones, and picture in picture possibilities. But I see still nothing, but what is boring, is that guest users, can activate their webcams or microphones, or even share their desktops. It is like they are not real guests, but part of the event organizers and they can interact with the meetings or webinars.

Also, last but not least, I can see that the "raise hand feature" is not so useful. Yes, it's definitely a good way to understand who wants to speak or ask a question but the person cannot be controlled, he/she can turn on the microphone and start talking.

@DonaemouSHelp me understand here since the title of the question you asked is Teams live Event which is totally different from what you have put in the subject.

so if you are looking for Teams live event setup here how you could do and it is a one-way communication where one producer and many presenter/moderators could present while attendees are lesson only mode. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/get-started-with-microsoft-teams-live-events-d077fec2-a058-...

but if you are trying to restrict the regular meeting you can still make some of them work but few of the options are being in the roadmap here is what you could do as of today in regular meetings;

hope this information works for you!

And back I am, @PDostiyar, I did not forget or just ignored your help, and... YOU GOT IT! I was just becoming mad, searching how to use the Microsoft Teams Live Events feature, and thx to your help, I got on it.

In first, to make that possible, it is needed a third party software, cause the in-app tools are a bit, let's say, too young to make good things yet. Also, Live Events is just part of Office 365/Microsoft 365 Ex plans, and not included in the Business ones.
