Teams licences

Copper Contributor

Hi

We have lots of IPhones that are shared by different users every 12 hours.
All users have a teams license.

The issue is that a lot won't sign in to teams each shift on the device.

Can we have a generic teams account that 100 of the phones are logged into to push notifications in teams to the devices.

I know we could do something with Power Automate however not sure the organisation will allow it.

If not any other ideas?

Hi @AntonyC

Even if it were possible, I wouldn't recommend connecting 100 devices to a generic account from both a security perspective, but also from a visibility perspective. You wouldn't see what users are doing in the app.

I would possibly look at enforcing the time clock so that users have to clock in and out of shifts. If there is no data for clocking in and out then you can identify the users and take remedial action

The other recommendation is to potentially look at them using their own phone with the Teams app which you could look to enforce app permissions policies in Intune. Intune allows Mobile app management without MDM and enrolling the phone

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/apps/manage-microsoft-teams

Hope that's gives some suggestions and will provide an answer to your question
