There's no real surprise in the announcement that Microsoft will transition Stream storage to SharePoint Online. It makes a heap of sense and solves problems like compliance, retention, sharing, guest access, and even backup. Teams is the first application to move storage of its videos when tenants get the option to transfer meeting recordings to SharePoint Online (for channel meetings) or OneDrive for Business (personal meetings) in October 2020.
