I might think about it but I think using edge as browser the web client is basically on parity with the desktop version regarding features! Most people say desktop client is faster performance wise! It might be better suited if you have devices connected to the computer using teams to have the desktop version but I’m not sure if that though! Regarding supported browsers and their limitations, you can read here:
At the time of writing, latest Desktop version is 1.1.00.31860 (64 bit - Note there is a 32 bit version of the desktop client as well). The Web app is Versionless but has parity in Edge. Latest IoS version is 1.0.59/1.077.2018112101 and Android is 1416/188.8.131.528111301. The mobile apps do not have parity with the Desktop/Web App.
To follow Adam, there is also more information on the clients here to support the limits and specifications
I wouldn't say there is parity between the desktop and web client for now...desktop client is the one with more functionalities...as an example, web client need to be improved in regards of calls and videocalls when doing screensharing....also the tabs experience is much better in the desktop client than in the Web one
Yes, you are right Juan Carlos point taken. I guess I meant to say here that in terms of the desktop and web app it is much closer - a reasonable approximation and experience - than compared to the mobile apps and the desktop/web app versions!
Yeah, true, as of “basically” :) there are smaller differences also regarding all kinds of things and services i teams comparing the two versions! Although the nifty features are both working in an edge browser as in the desktop version
