Teams craching when starting

Copper Contributor

Since wednesday (05/05/2021), Teams was crashing when I tried to activate my camera, even the preview. I also had to attend to a zoom meeting, and it was the same problem. So I just didn't use the camera, but this morning I tried to join a Team meeting, but then Teams started to restart continually. It said "There was a glitch, it's good to go now", but it didn't stop restarting.

I tried to:

  • Restart my computer
  • Reinstall Teams
  • Change user
  • Do the sfc /scannow (there was corrupted files, but it didn't change anything to remove them)

None of this helped me...

Do you know what is the problem ?

Hello, as you're experiencing the same issue using Zoom there's nothing related to Teams. This is most likely hardware related and you should focus on your camera starting with updating the drivers for it. Perhaps your computer needs to be updated as well.

All my dedvices are up to date. (I just checked)
Still related to your camera as Zoom don't work either.
I am using a virtual camera with OBS, can it have something to do with the crashes ?
Sorry, can't help you any further. Perhaps another member will reply.
