An employee messaged to say that they didn't receive a banner notification from my last message. When I got them to reply to me I was the same. No banner message, no activity indication, nothing.
Eventually, after testing various scenarios. I found that if 'User A' is highlighted in Teams then I close it. When they sent a message I'd receive no banner.
If I choose a different user 'User B' message in Teams before closing Teams. I do receive a banner message from the 'User A'.
We've never noticed this before today?
Is this happening to others?

Hey @Juan Carlos González Martín anyway to see or get in a feeler on this issue? Something recently changed where you will be missing tons of chat notifications off screen with no audio queue either when window isn't the active window and new chats / replies happen off screen. Rather annoying.

Same issue for me and some colleagues for a few days. I am getting no notification for messages. No banner, no sound, no taskbar flashing. The only indication is a red dot on the Teams icon in system tray and that only seems to work half the time.
C'mon Microsoft this is a pretty big issue if a chat program can't even give notifications of messages...

This is still a problem and needs to be resolved!
As it stands now I can barley use teams and I have had to use email instead since notifications at least works for Outlook.

Ask your Global Admin to make you a Service Admin so that you can submit support tickets.

We've been getting reports of Notifications not working properly these last few days too.
I'm running the latest and greatest version locally, and can reproduce using the steps provided by David.
