Hi all community members,
As we are doing different pilot group for our MS teams roll-out to whole organization currently we came across one issue that suddenly one of a Teams Channel Disappear from last two days we have around 18 users member of that Teams which had the default general channel and the other one "Pilot deployment" which is disapeard we have only two owners both didn't touch that part, also we checked Teams > Managed > Channels Under Active and deleted there is only general under active but nothing else.
though it had a planner tab which we created in that channel in the online planner we could see both the general channel planner and the Pilot deployment channel planner.
has anyone else came across same issue or concern.
Regards

Hi
This problem now appears to have resolved.
Thank you.

I have the same problem...
There was a channel that was renamed some time back. Was working 100% till a new user could not see the channel.
Her name was also not under the SharePoint site.
Gave her Owner access to check if she can see the channel and now I also can't see the channel.
The folder does exist in SharePoint
Nothing under deleted items

My suggestion is creating a ticket to Microsoft! I've reached out to the Teams team also and I'll post back any info i get!

I'm running into a similar issue but the channel has disappeared in Flow. I'm building a flow using the 'Post a message (Preview)' step and in one account all of the channels of my team are appearing, if I switch accounts one of the channels is missing from the drop down option list for that flow step.
Both accounts are owners in the Team. Any ideas? Happy to try and provide more info.
Edit: Both accounts can see the SharePoint folder for the channel

@PDostiyar As a workaround I go to the left hand bar and select the team and select "manage Team" option and choose the channel tab

We have a similar problem.
A user is owner of a channel and can see the channel in the list.
If I change his status to member, the team disappears from his list and he can't see it in Manage teams. No permission?
Sometimes the team comes back after a certain time.
Does anyone have an idea?

I would suggest opening a ticket with Microsoft on this would be a great idea and will not hurt to see what are their view on these kind of issues.

yeah as of today , we still have the same issue.
apparently as a Team Owner and Team Admin , got booted off the channel when I renamed a public channel. Then the channel is no longer in the list at all in the desktop app. Then I went to my mobile app, it did have the "before renamed" channel in there and saw the notification that I renamed the channel to the new name. Still works as we have webhook installed in that old channel and still keep getting information.
Then I went to try to recreate a new channel of the same "renamed" name via the desktop app, hoping I can see the old one, it worked but still it's a new channel instead of the old one. :(
It's either out of sync database between zones that Azure has or something else.
Our resolution for now, if that channel is missing, we just recreate them again even though some people may see "doubles" or "triples"
Another thing that we do is to create the channel private instead of public. I am watching out for the missing private channel. So far I haven't seen a private channel to be lost or missing from the list. Unless anyone has this issue with a private channel as well?

@wowrack_rudythis looks wired have you open ticket and contact Microsoft for this case, i would suggest that will not hurt you if you open a ticket with them.
besides the private channel is also a good approach but take in to mind that a team will only have 30 private channels.

Similar problem here. I have created a channel but I can't see it when I would like to set a meeting in calendar ... any ideas??? I have log out/in several times, but no success...

@wowrack_rudy This just happened to us and Microsoft had me change one of the owners to member and then back to owner. Fixed the channel disappearing for her. We have two owners on each team. Make sure you have an owner on the team before changing an owner to member.
They said it was sticky membership.

@MariAnne Woehrle Thank you for posting this. I followed your instructions and was able to get my missing channel back on the desktop Teams app. Strange enough, the channel never went missing on the web version of Teams, only the desktop app.
