Teams Channel Deleted/Disappear

Bronze Contributor

AS people say history does repeat yes that is really true even if that is technology right same this happened 3 years ago which I posted https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/teams-channel-disappear/m-p/334698#M25837  - BTW it was my first post on the Microsoft Tech community.

We came across the same issue again almost after 3 years that one of our Teams channel disappears today, this channel was created a year or so ago we were using it until this morning September 29, 2021, the main team got around 10+ private channels and 4-5 standard channel everything else works normal, but one channel disappeared it was a standard channel, had scheduled meeting, the conversation is posted, and so does files I can only see the files on Sharepoint but all others are gone.

I did check Teams > Manage Team > Channels Under Active and deleted couldn't find that, same the web, desktop, and mobile client cannot find it, and no one has deleted As the admin wouldn't do it, even if they did we should see it in the deleted section.

Please post your comments if you came across the same and what was the solutions.

Hi @PDostiyar Do you remember Damian's comments in this post? Channels within a Team have disappeared - Microsoft Tech Community

We are experiencing this bizarre behavior, too. I checked the Microsoft Admin Center and do see that it is listed under service health as an advisory. Pasted the information from Microsoft below!

More information on eDiscovery can be found here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/ediscovery-investigation. Current status: Our investigation of visibility issues for the remaining affected channels continues. Additionally, we’re examining the service for secondary effects that may be impacting customers and we’ll provide status updates as available.
