I got changed over to the new layout for the Calls tab a while ago, I was not a fan from the beginning but it was bearable. The new tab layout has a "quirk" where if you copy and paste a number into the dial out box if you try to hit 'Enter' right away it populates the last number called. More of an annoyance than anything else.
Since yesterday however, when I enter a number into the dial out box at all and hit 'Enter' it populates the number and then keeps the pasted number in the field. You cannot place your call as the app hasn't registered the second instance of the number as valid. You have to have backspace through the number but if you don't do it exactly it deletes the entered selection completely. This happens whether the number has been pasted in or typed out.
