Teams Background Effects very glitchy and lagging with just a gray screen!!!

I have very fast internet, but the background effects just won't load properly. I can see them in the selection panel, but when I select one it immediately makes the video super lagging. Why is this the case and how to I fix it?

Also, note that I have an Microsoft SurfaceBook 3 (i7, 1TB, 32 gb RAM) so should be fast enough right?

Outdated graphics drivers could be responsible for this, ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause performance issues and affect the proper functioning of background effects.

We have the same issue. This is only when using the "New Teams Preview". Gray screen, but no video. Changing back to "Old" teams fixes the background issue.
