Team Meeting Recordings

Brass Contributor

Can the following be confirmed regarding the new Microsoft Team meeting recordings policy ?

At the start of the policy transition period, Team recordings were initially stored in chat (cloud azure storage) for 21 days and Users were expected to move them into Stream or they would be deleted and lost.

This has now changed so that....

1. Team meeting recordings are now stored in team channel recording folders or personal OneDrive recording folders, each dependent on whether the recording was made in, or outside a team

2. Team meeting recordings in private Channels are stored in separate Team Private Channel sites and not in the primary team SharePoint sites

3. Team meetings recorded that are stored in team channels or OneDrive will NOT be automatically deleted unless manually deleted by a User

Thanks in anticipation

@Frank Smith Hi, yes. That was the case if not having a Stream license.

1. Non-channel meetings -> OneDrive. Channel meetings -> SharePoint.

2. Private channels can only record with "Meet Now" not schedule a meeting, another site yes.

3. See this Teams recordings in OneDrive/SharePoint — Lync.se

@Frank Smith Updated nr 3 with link instead. Have a look (60 days standard but configurable).
