Team Chat Static Retention

I trying to understand that in static retention policy of Team chat, Is the private and group chat also included in this policy. ?

Private and Group chats are covered under Teams Chats. Conversations in Teams Channels are covered under Teams Channel Messages

Default retention is forever unless manually deleted. If you turn off the ability to delete posts in the messaging policy, users will not be able to delete any they are kept indefinitely
