Sync accounts

Hi community, 

l am running into problems using teams. I have a personal account and have paid for Microsoft 365 subscription for use on my iPad and iPhone, and use Skype as well. 
It seems that with my teams account, I can’t seem to connect to other users, and it looks like there are multiple accounts associated with my email address which I can’t seem to sync. When I want to sign in to the others, I can’t because it wants to associate my phone number but tells me it’s already in use. I’m going round in circles, and it’s mighty frustrating! 
any help would be great!

personal 365 account which you use skype with and you trying to connect to other Teams users which are not in the same org as the personal account ?
