Suggestion for MS Teams compatible hardware

Iron Contributor

Hey guys,

I want to use a hardware with MS Teams and Camera but also the hardware for normal phone calls.

Is there something which can both, and is user-friendly-

I looked here: https://products.office.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/across-devices/devices but have no idea which could fit.

Yeallink CP960 could be nice, which Camera (maybe with a NUC between). But would it work? and do i need MS Teams console?

Best and cheers.

Hi @salihzett

You have a couple of options..

If you want to have a static setup for a room:
- Teams Room with Yealink MVC300 or MVC500 (https://www.yealink.com/products_154.html)
this one is using a NUC with Teams Rooms system installed (normally used for a small meeting room).

If you travel i would advise to use:
- yealink speaker phone (CP900) or just a headset
- any webcam you want to use (usb)

What kind of situation are you looking for?

short and sweet I need a hardware which has teams room console included, and where it is possible to connect separate devices (mac or windows) for using, bluejeans, webex, zoom etc.)

is this existing?

best

Hi @salihzett,

I don't know such a product. But you can combine any vc room console with an HDMI/USB-router.

Edit: Hi again @salihzett. You might want to check this out: https://devicebase.net/en/atlona-at-ome-sr21

@salihzett Any of the certified Microsoft Teams Rooms devices have an HDMI ingest which will let you connect and share the screen off of a laptop (PC or Mac). Note that you will be using the laptop to run those meetings and thus the laptop camera/microphone though you could add USB devices to the laptop to improve that audio\video.

If you want to use the Teams Room audio/video to handle the external meetings, you'll have to look into a Cloud Video Interop.

Coming soon (no specific date available) Teams Rooms will be able to natively connect to Zoom and Webex meetings without the need for a third party Could Video Interop.
