Status in Teams based on on-premise calendars

Copper Contributor

Is it possible to get the availability status in Teams based on on-premise calendars?

For example when someone has a meeting, they should appear in Teams busy or in a meeting.

Which steps are necessary to make this possible?

Would it be enough the set the mode to Teams-Only and enabling "Register Teams as the chat app for Office (requires restarting Office applications)"?

Do we need OAuth to get this working?

Do we need Exchange Hybrid to get this working?

Is it even possible?

To have the on-premises calendar available from Teams, you need Exchange 2016 CU3 at least, users synced via ADconnect with hybrid button and Oauth configured

@adam deltinger

Thanks for the response.

Do I understand correctly?:

If I want the availability status in Teams based on on-premise calendars, I absolutely need the on-premises calendar available in Teams?

Is there another possible solution to have the availability status in Teams without users synced via ADconnect with hybrid button and Oauth configure?

Melo

As I understand this is required to have any connections to exchange on premises

@adam deltinger Thanks!

Can anyone else confirm that or is there another possibility?
