Someone has already set up Teams for your organisation

Copper Contributor

Hi,

I'm the Head of IT for our organization and would like some of our users to use Microsoft Teams on a test basis, but when logging in with Microsoft Teams app, we get the error "Someone has already set up Teams for your organisation" and cannot continue.

Went through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and cannot find a solution.

The only solution found is using the browser in private browsing, but that means we won't be able to use the windows app, is that correct?

Best regards,

J.

@AJTavaresyou should be able to use the Teams desktop app if you are able to use it in the private mode of the browser, you need to check the settings Teams Admin center https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/ and then go to Org-wide setting and make sure you enable all required settings.

@PDostiyar, I saw that suposed solution in this foruns, but it doesn't work for us.

And we cannot access https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/ because we don't have a license for it.

The issue is that we want to try Microsoft Teams in our organization and be sure it's what we need before subscribing it.

Why can't we use Teams as an usual user only because we're using our organisation email adressess?

@Sir_Jordan_T This worked spot on.  Cheers.

Thanks for providing information in the private message. However, I have checked the domain which you have provided and found that some of Microsoft service enabled such Office 365 A1 for faculty Promo Trial, Office 365 A1 for students, Power BI free, Azure RMS with that domain. Therefore, you revived the error message "Someone has already setup Teams for your organization".

However, when a self-service user signs up for a cloud service that uses Azure AD, they are added to an unmanaged Azure AD directory based on their email domain. For your reference: Take over an unmanaged directory as administrator in Azure Active Directory
