Apologies if this is already discussed somewhere but I really can't find any up to date information.
We are hopefully going to roll out Teams to our organisation shortly. A deal breaker however would be if pasting images isn't working.
The reason I'm posting here is that I and a number of other colleagues don't have a problems, it works perfectly (With the exception of being unable to Right Click > Copy Image from Chrome and Ctrl+V into Teams.)
There are however a number of colleagues that just cannot get the pasting of images into Teams to work in ANY circumstance.
I'm at a loss as to why it's working for some and not others.
Would it possibly be a permissions / access / proxy thing? Just looking for some ideas on it to give me some direction.
Thanks in advance....

No, I've seen certain apps not allow it to copy and paste, I always tell people make the snipping tool your friend, it always works. Have them try that, show them the tool, snip what they wanted to copy then paste see if that works. On top of that some people just don't know about the tool, you can get better content with it, more focused and draw on the screenshots to point attention.
Also, pretty sure Microsoft is working on improving the copy and paste support in Teams.

My main issue is that I can do the following :
Copy and Paste from Powerpoint, word, excel etc
Copy and Paste from SnagIt, Snipping Tool.
Drag and drop from desktop / file explorer etc
Copy and Paste from Outlook / Chrome
Some of my colleagues literally can't do any of it, even the stuff I can do.
Which is why I'm wondering if it's a permissions thing?!

@KRYPT1KAL I have the same issues. I used to be able to paste information but then had to reinstall Teams and now I can't paste any image into teams from any source. I usually use SnagIt, but also tried snipping tool and now, the only workaround I found is to save the image and send it through teams as drag and drop. Not ideal, not easy, it's very inconvenient, but it works. I hope this has a fix or someone can reply with a what's the fix here soon.

I'm having the same issue now too. Can't cut and paste an image into a MT Teams meeting invitation. Really frustrating. If there is anyone out there with a solution I would love to hear it.

Same ... copy/paste from SnagIt was working and now it isn't. Hilariously, I can take a snipping tool screen shot of SnagIt and paste into teams. A very obnoxious bug that seems to have come from nowhere.

@crw0311 Weird weird weird... the same thing happened to me just now. And when I say just now, I mean an hour ago I could paste images into Teams, but now I can't. I didn't restart, I didn't update software - nothing. It just worked, then it didn't work.
And it's a PAIN. Anything from Microsoft?

Just to be clear, the snipping tool doesn't work either. I can paste text into a Teams message, but not images. Doesn't matter how I got the image onto my clipboard, the paste function (whether ctrl-V or right click paste) does nothing. It's as if the clipboard is empty. But if I go to powerpoint, the image pastes from the clipboard happily. So I know it's there, just it will not paste into a Teams message. This is brand new... it was working this morning and suddenly it is not. I have restarted etc. No change. Really odd.

Just as a follow up, I use Snag-It and it works on everything but my laptop. Spent a week troubleshooting Intune permissions etc. I changed to greenshot and it started working instantly so might be something with this transparency thing....

The problem is with transparency. For reasons I cannot understand, MS Teams will not accept an image with transparent elements. In my case, this problem plagued me with the use of SnagIt images until I found this support note from TechSmith:
