Slow load times for Teams client

We have multiple users that have client launch times from 5-15 minutes, which seems to be excessive. We've tried both 32 and 64 bit clients, uninstall - clear install directory - reinstall, some settings.json file changes (checking for new versions, increased logging) and nothing seems to help. I've also added an exclusion for the Teams directory and executable file specifically. 

 

Users are Windows-based, on Core i7 laptops, mostly working from home with good internet connections.

 

Any thoughts?

That is quite excessive indeed, it shouldn't even be 1 minute let alone 5-15.
You've said it's multiple users, but is it *all* users in the tenant - or just those?
And what happens if those users use a different machine that doesn't have the issue?

Not sure we've tried having others login with their user account on another workstation...since most of the folks are remote.  Will try Monday and see.

I had this internally for some users. We connect to an AZURE Farm.
The problem came from the GATEWAY which had to go to the registrar (DSN entry added) to find the IP and route to AZURE. (Entry added to ADVANCED in RDP connection)
Since, I did setup a Barracuda in AZURE and one on site = OK
For remote users = Barracuda VPN = OK
All if good for the connection now.

Now I am running into some RDP screen resolution problems :) Trying to open a thread but it is asking me to retry :) So I took time to answer to yours.

I work with Blake and constantly have this issue as well.  I've uninstalled/reinstalled Teams dozens of times, found all entries in %appdata% for Teams and deleted them, rebooted after uninstalling and removing appdata, and even searched the registry for Teams entries after uninstalling.  Always have this same issue.  Yesterday I finally re-imaged my laptop (Windows 10 ENT 1803) in an attempt to resolve this issue.  Was able to launch Teams one time normally, then started to have this problem again.  See startup logs snippet below:

Note: after the initial timeout that happens and the 2nd long wait the Teams application opens within 4 seconds.   Any assistance with this is appreciated, we have multiple folks that have this issue on our team.

 

Ditto- Teams is extremely slow loading -5 minutes or more.

Me too! At least 20 minutes for Teams to load, then I have to refresh the conversation because it can't get it, then it will close itself a couple of times, then i can use it. I am usually at least 40 minutes to get Teams to load. 

@CostaCosford I am using Windows 10 Pro version 20H2 and having a Teams meeting at 3.30PM Indian time I have started the Team app at 2.15PM and it is still to load:facepalm: hope to see a resolution to this soon
