SIP Device Timezone and Music on Hold

Copper Contributor

Hi all,

I have recently configured a Cisco 8845 as Teams SIP device for testing purposes. Two things I have noticed during this test was:

- The time displayed is UTC. I have set up a DHCP offset but it seems to be ignored by the phone. Also, even if this offset would work, how would we get around with daylight savings time?

- When I place a call on hold from the SIP phone, I hear silence on the other end. Is there a way to implement Music on Hold? My assumption is Teams doesn't generate MoH like it does on regular Teams clients, so the Direct Routing SBC would be responsible for generating this. Is this correct?
