Hi,
if I create a list within a Teams and then share it with various staff members (or Active directory groups) does this give those people the ability to view other content within the teams channels?
Thanks

Hi @Ian_C_FCcom
I think the answer to that is found here: "Provide access to a list in Teams"

Many thanks for that, I understand the inheritance side of permissions however my question is really around the users being able to access the rest of the content.
In SharePoint (not via teams) if you gave access to a user to a specific list by breaking inheritance SP gave that user limited access to the SP site to enable the user to get to that list.
Is it the same within the teams environment or does giving access to a list mean they become members to the team?
Thanks
