SharePoint View not translating into Teams Files Tab

Copper Contributor

Hello,

The files tab in Teams appears to surface some of the properties from SharePoint Views, like the columns selected, however it does not seem to maintain the default column sorting. The default sorting is always modified in descending order.

I did some research and was hoping this might be fixed in a newly launched road map item 51234

Microsoft Teams - Improved Channel File Tab Experience - Featured ID: 51234

Can someone confirm or deny that? Although it does not appear to have been rolled out.

If that is not the proper road map item, does anyone know which one if any it might be contained in?

Confirmed Bug, Dan Holme commented on Twitter today about this very issue. https://twitter.com/danholme/status/1229772323403661312

Thanks Chris. It is a little confusing as this topic was started back in 2017, but Dan just filed the bug. I guess cause the SharePoint View Integration was not released until recently, and now it is a bug? Seems like it should have been tested. Maybe i just don't get it.
It's a head scratcher for sure because it's so obvious to not catch. Dan was just submitting it from himself, believe me, Microsoft already has this in the bug list :p from everyone else reporting it. The file release in general has been lack luster especially due to how long it's been delayed.

Hello,

okay, then this bug seems to be my problem as well.

I want to show the files always with the preview option.

I set the selection "view all" and show it with the preview in sharepoint as default.

It´s working fine for me in sharepoint, but i it´s not translated to Teams.

With you on this - A long line of frustration from many users having the same experience. You can do all the great view things in SharePoint, but it just won't effect the basic sort order in Teams ! ! !

Seriously MS - We pay a fortune for licensing, sort the sort.
Thanks.
