Has Microsoft changed the automatic creation of a SharePoint sub site for each Team?  I created a new Team today and a site is not appearing in my list of SharePoint sites.  Wen I click on the ellipsis in Teams next to the Team name, I don't see an option to "Open SharePoint Site".  The only options are:  Remove favorite, Manage team, Add channel, Add members, Leave the team, Edit team, Get link to team, and Delete the team

I don't remember ever seeing an "open SPO site" entry, but that might just be me. As for the site provisioning, it might take a while - the "notification" process is known to be unreliable at times, but it's backed up by a second process that runs on a more relaxed schedule. How long has it been since you created the Team?

Solution
The option your looking for does not show on the ellipsis next to the Team, you have to click on a channel, then at the top under the search/command bar that .... next to the Team/Channel name has the Open in SharePoint option.

I've always used the Open in SharePoint from the Files tab.

It doesn't show in your SharePoint site lists till you start to add content and search / graph add it to your recent sites, otherwise you need to go in and search for it on the SharePoint landing page, and then you can follow it to force it in your lists.

But those options should let you find it.

Thanks very much Christopher.  That's perfect.  I couldn't find this information by searching on my own.

2/2020 Instructions w/ Visuals if anyone desires them.

1) Select/Highlight the Team Channel desired

2) Select/open the ellipsis in the upper right corner of the Teams ribbon for the teams channel

3) find the "Open In SharePoint" within the drop down menu and select it
