When you add a SharePoint site to a teams tab as either "SharePoint" or "Website", the quick launch section on the left does not show within Teams the way it does in a browser. I don't want to have to add a new tab for every page of a SharePoint site I want to access in Teams. Can you enable quick launch or some other form of navigation for SharePoint in Teams? If so, how?

The SharePoint page viewing in Teams is today quite lacking! You can’t do much about it now! Soon there will be better integration with SharePoint in teams, library wise and hopefully site integration as well!
With that said, it’s not intended to use this integration today for browsing and work within SharePoint from within Teams! It’s more for getting a view on a SharePoint site! For example the underlaying Teamsite which you have customized, ex: information about the purpose of the team..

Unless Microsoft brings the App Launcher to the Teams Desktop App, the only way to integrate your SPO sites in Teams is by means of Tabs. In the Web Client we have the App Launcher, but it's no fully functional

You can add your own Quick Links webpart to the sharepoint page, then you can navigate.

I thought about doing that, but I didn't want to have to add quick links to every single page.

It will display the quick launch menu If you use the website tab instead of the sharepoint tab.

It doesn't seem to change anything for me as I have already tried this. SP pages display the same for me in Teams whether I add them as a SP tab or a Website tab.

@Angus McPherson   No. It does not.  When I add the Sharepoint site either as a tab for Sharepoint or a tab for Web both strip out everything on the left and the top for navigation.  Which renders my Sharepoint pages pretty much useless to link into teams.  It would be nice if there was a simple check box that said...STRIP out navigation or not.  Simple.  It did formerly display the links on the left but with the dozens of changes being pushed out, it no longer functions.

Totally agree, without being able to show also the SharePoint Website navigation panel within teams for most customers this feature is totally useless!

Is there an update yet to fix this issue? Post was in 2018, now we have 2020 ...

I would like to "activate" the navigation in Microsoft Teams for SharePoint Sites.

@larszg No, I just tried and there is still no menu.
