Hey there,
I'm having trouble finding out "if" and "how" Salesforce integrates with MS Teams if at all. I was able to find the connector for Salesforce, but had some trouble getting it to run. What is the functionality of this connector and its capabilities?
Can anyone tell me if this is still a working piece of MS Teams or is this something Microsoft has stopped working on altogether?
Best,
Jamealle

SolutionIt depends on the requirements you have in Teams with your integrated Salesforce data.
What you can do today:
Here is how it works to connect to Salesforce:

You will find an overview from Teams side of view here:

Hope that helps, Frank.

Hi Jamealle,
I've already answered this question here:
My company, SalesTim, has built a Microsoft Teams SAAS App, that brings a deep and seamless integration of Salesforce into Microsoft Teams.
With SalesTim, you can manage your entire Teams lifecycle from Salesforce.
Automatically provision teams for accounts, channels for opportunities, custom notifications into channels:
Moreover, any update to accounts, opportunities, contacts, or custom objects, could be reflected into Teams:
Best of all, people can work on the same documents (with co-authoring), from Teams or Salesforce:

Good to know you have collab integration ready.
We need C2C (click to call) and screenpop integration of SFDC with MS Teams. Do you have a solution for this use case?

Hi @Deleted
At the moment, Microsoft Teams API doesn't support PSTN calling, and therefore we can't implement this kind of CTI integration (only through VoIP).
But it's definitely a scenario we'll work on.
More specifically, a voice bot would be your phone assistant, acting as a proxy between you and callers, providing you necessary information from the CRM to Teams and enabling notes taking from Teams.
Please stay tuned to our LinkedIn page as we'll publish any new release there: https://www.linkedin.com/company/salestim
Anything else I can do for you ? Interested in our SalesTim solutions?

So does anyone do an inbound (screen pops from contacts, deals, etc. from contact #) /outbound (CTI) SalesForce VoIP integration with Teams/S4B? We are currently RingCentral but have moved more and more towards an entirely MS UC solution. This is one of the small (not so small) pieces that is standing in the way with a move to 100% MS for UC. Thoughts?

I'm also interested. We have the same set up and are considering a fully Teams-functional Salesforce option. Any responses would be great.

Hi @WayneK ,
A few month ago we had the first release of the Teams "Calling API". It's a good start and it's really promising, but not enough to bring the kind of integration you're requesting.
There is no public timeframe for an update to these APIs, but it's in the roadmap.

@Guillaume MEYER What kind of features does it have?

@Deleted do you mean "the features of Teams "Calling API" ? Or "the features of SalesTim?"

Hi - I am looking for similar understanding on how Salesforce can be integrated into the use of Shifts in MS Teams. We are wanting to set up our field team with a shift calendar that has the SF customer info attached. Is this possible? Thanks in advance for any insight.

@Jamealle Spain December now and still looking for a calling API solution. Just spoke with a vendor we're vetting to move our calling to Teams and he said it can't be done. Our sales team is using Salesforce and Outreach. Shocking that Microsoft can't release click-to-call functionality.

If you are using Chrome, there is a free plug-in that converts any phone number on a web page to a clickable link. As long as you have Skype for Business (or Teams) set as your default calling application, it should initiate the call for you.

I found the native integration to be buggy. Spoke to their support, could never find a solution. I searched online and found 2 good options - Workato and Automate.io a try. Automate.io worked for me. Loved their UX.
Anyway, this should help you - https://automate.io/integration/microsoft-teams/salesforce

@Brandon Oelling Does your integration offer one the ability to call salesforce contacts from Teams? The description of the product doesn't seem to have anything like this mentioned.
