Reply to a thread - can we help people to do that actually?

Steel Contributor

Hi everyone (especially the adoption specialist),

i am having problems with a great number of people that do not reply to thread but chat into the channel.

We come from Skype for Business - so chat is all the people knew. Although we have training materials that tell the user how to work with channel messages - some of them just reply into the channel - opening a new thread.

Is it company specific or do other adoptions people have the same problems?

It would be great if every channel post (with an existing post available) - would ask after sending (maybe with some AI language processing):

"Does your message belong to the last thread?" - and after clicking on yes - it attaches the message to the thread.

Could not find a uservoice on that - so either i am searching wrong or other companies do not have this problem :)

Best regards

Stephan

Hi! No, people struggle with this! Microsoft will update the look of this to make it harder to do wrong.

About AI and stuff I’d suggest creating that uservoice. You can post it here for upvoting

Great news, people here struggle with this too. We are right at the beginning of deployment. Do you happen to know any timeline?

Unfortunately not! You’re best bet is user training now. It’s just a matter of getting used to
