Repercussion on the synchronization process of SharePoint and One Drive on starting new sync client

Brass Contributor

Hi,

Microsoft has suggested to start the new client for new file experience on my tenant.

1. Log into your Admin Center > SharePoint Admin Center > Settings > Classic Settings Page (down at the bottom).

Change the below settings:

One Drive Sync Button - Start the new client

Sync Client for SharePoint - Start the new client

2. Once you've performed the above, quit out of Teams, browse to %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and either delete or rename the IndexedDB folder

Are there any repercussion on current sync process of SharePoint or One Drive of my tenant.

Any feedback is appreciated.

@mytech1982 Hi, I have tried to ask the question in my community, no responses yet, and I have tried what you have written. I just don't see exactly what is changing. Perhaps you could describe it a bit more? What is current situation, and what would the change entail? How is it improving the overall experience? Perhaps a little more explanation/description could perhaps help people give feedback? Just my thoughts. :)
