Remove Unlicensed user from Team Chat Group

Copper Contributor

We have currently have several users who have had their accounts Disabled and Licences removed who still exist in Team Chat groups created by other users.
Is it possible to remove the unlicensed user from ANY group they appear in.

These are NOT Office groups they are simply groups created by other users to form a group chat

I believe that the chats remain but the identities will change to unknown. AFAIK there’s no way of doing what you want

Hi, out of curiosity how long its been since disabling and removing the license? They do not show up in the Teams groups any longer, only existing in personal chats? Its an known issue what Adam mentioned about ”uknown user” being displayed (removed as example) https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/known-issues/removed-user-appears-as-un...

For the record similar issues has been corrected in the desktop client by deleting the cache/resetting the app.
