Hi ,

Why doesn't microsoft teams save the setting " general - Register teams as the chat app for office " ?

Everytime I start my computer , again this selection box is ticked off .

That might be a cache issue, this can be solved following this guide.

Should the problem persist there is a Registry solution provided by Lee Ford (MVP)

Change Teams to the Default IM App (by using a script) - Lee Ford's Blog (lee-ford.co.uk)

Hi @kaaven ,

deleting the cache doesn't help .  I will raise a service ticket to our IT helpdesk as I'm not allowed to execute your second proposal ( script running ).
