Dear all,
I'd like to allow only the owners of a team to schedule a meeting. Users and guests should be unable to schedule meetings. Owners are teachers, users and guest are students. Is it possible to set it?
Thank you in advance,
Greg

First of all I would like to point out that it might be very beneficial for students to create meetings -- e.g. for study groups, group assignments etc.
If you still want to take this ability away, here you go :)
While you can not assign a policy to team owners you can create policies and apply them to specific users.
Since you want to allow specific users to be able to create teams, this should meet your requirements.
One way to implement it, would be a global policy that disallows scheduling of meetings and then assign a policy to teachers that allows to schedule meetings. You can learn more about meeting policies in Manage meeting policies in Teams

Great thanks for ALL of your answers!
Unfortunatelly, although we have the option to change the meetings policies in Teams Admin Console - they don't work.
I now see that a similar problem was reported in https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/Why-can-t-I-change-the-Teams-Meeting-Policy/t...
Do you have any idea how to go around it?
Best regards,
Greg
