Previous corporate MS365 account still shows in my user profie

Copper Contributor

My previous corporate account still shows up in my profile, complete with a "Manage" button however I can't edit anything never mind delete it.   I suspect my old profile is still partially active (e.g. my employer is probably still capturing incoming emails).

Any suggestions how to completely erase this apparent linkage?   In case it is relevant this user account is on a Mac.

Go here to see if you have an org. to leave https://myaccount.microsoft.com/organizations

If you can't leave the org. they have to delete your account alt. enable it and then you can leave manually.

Use InPrivate / Incognito sessions to avoid cached credentials.

I'm not a Mac user but you should verify that this account isn't added somewhere. In Windows they get added under Account settings.

@ChristianJBergstrom Thanks.  With that view everything is as it should be.

The old “rogue” or legacy account only appears when I get the pop up dialog after clicking on my Photo (which is visible in most Teams windows).

Same in all Teams apps? (web for ex.) If only in the desktop app you could try deleting the cache.

@ChristianJBergstrom This issue only appears in the MacOS Teams app.  I don't normally use the web interface because it doesn't (easily) work with Safari (unless you turn off site tracking, which I'd rather not).  I fired up Chrome and the spurious account doesn't appear.

Interestingly another external account which I added yesterday DOES show up - the MacOS app refuses to show that account.

I have already cleared the cache.  I think I'm going to figure out how to do a clean install of the MacOS Teams app .... there must be some kind of artifact somewhere.
