Teams status indicator continues to operate improperly. It displays "Away" when not away. Status does not return to "Available" for several minutes after manually changing status to "Available" from any other status (including "Busy" and "Do not disturb). Often times, I have to close the program and reopen in order to indicate the correct status. This issue has been ongoing for months. The last update that was to resolve this issue has not resolved the issue.

It doesn't, at least not completely, status is still at most a guesstimate :( On the plus side of things, we just had a veeeery long and spirited discussion around this with members of the PG, so the issue is heard loud and clear.

Users in our enterprise would like to see this, too. Frustration building with product, people reverting back to Skype just because they rely so heavily on real-time presence to connect with people.

This is still a problem almost a year later. The status in Skype for Business updates immediately, but in Teams it takes forever for the status to update. Why? Is there nothing that can be done to fix this?

I absolutely agree.. Whoever designed Teams did a terrible job. Teams is the worst application ever used. Skype is much better but there is no option when Microsoft makes it mandate for companies to ditch Skype and use THEIR new products like Teams and Edge. No problems in switching IF these applications were even half the hype

@nbergGW Simple.. Bcoz Microsoft doesn't care!!!! All it does it come out with crap applications and make it mandate for companies to use it without bothering to check if it is working as expected. So many people have complained by now.. Has Microsoft done ANYTHING about it?
