Possible Teams invite notification bug

Hi,

I'm attempting to create a Team that has invite notifications disabled. Following the kindof documented process I've created the unified group via powershell and changed UnifiedGroupWelcomeMessageEnabled to $false. I then created a Team using that group using new-team -group...

Here's where the issue comes. When I add a team member directly through the Teams UI, they still get the standard invite email. However, if I add them through Powershell add-teamuser, they don't.

Is this the expected behavior of this setting?

I don’t know if this is expected or not but it has been like that always! This setting is not honored when adding members in the Teams client but it will any other way that I know of!
