The Polycom Trio Visual+ is not certified, supported, or recommended by Microsoft, and has never been. We did not recommend using it with Skype for Business either, and have seen many customers have many issues with it. It is not supported and will not work with video or content sharing with Teams meetings except via Cloud Video Interop. Poly has a great upgrade offer right now for Visual+ to move up to a Studio X Collaboration Bar for Teams (we expect those to be Certified soon). I encourage everyone to use avail themselves of that offer and then give the Visual+ box the burial it so richly deserves.

Thanks @Ilya Bukshteyn,
The blame shift here does nothing to remove the sour taste in the mouth of spending thousands of dollars to support a Microsoft platform. Do we put the planned obsolescence back at Polycom's door or just wear it as a cost for dealing with the newest things... Surely this gets fed back to organisations such as Poly that their kit has a shorter life than the time it usually takes to be depreciated. The consumers don't get such a say with them.

Perhaps the complete "stop" is not the right decision on here. See e.g. what Jeff answers to someone's worries:
If companies have those devices they are able to use them still and ask support from Poly. But if you do not have those devices, but looking for new devices into rooms then you should think twice.
But this is interesting question from wider point of view. When you bought these/any devices some years ago, what was your expectations at that time of how long time these devices are still working. As told, those are working today, but some day Microsoft filters out certain client versions and then these devices become a rubbish from Teams point of view. Wishing to see one day, that all electronical devices have a Best Before Date -label in the same way than food have. Meaning, after that date it is expected to not receive security fixes.
