I know there's lot's of posts regarding blocking creation of teams, and to my knowledge this is currently only feasible through removing the permission to create groups; https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/admin/create-groups/manage-creation-of-groups which does have multiple side effects, which may or may not cause you issues.
Are there a more enterprise and IT friendly way of managing permissions to create teams?
Could Policy Packages described here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/manage-policy-packages become available for enterprise customers and possibly be the friendly solution so many of us are looking for?
