Paste Formatted Text

Brass Contributor

When I paste formatted text (such as bold or italic) that has been copied to my clipbaord into Word I see the formatting. However, I do not when pasting into a Teams chat.

Just wondered if there's a way around this?

Not workaround unfortunately, what I have seen is that Teams does not keep the formatting and it makes what you copy from office unusable
Thank you.
It is now 2023 and this is still not possible. Not even from different chats within MS Teams.
Just did a search today for the same answer. I spend all this time formatting a document, but then lose it all when pasting into a Teams chat. What is the effin problem? It's going from one Microsoft text app to another. Why can't Microsoft add a Paste Special on the right-click or something?
Sad but true. Is a shame that MS still don't have a solution for it

@Sunny620
I have a co-worker this is happening to, but my formatting pastes just fine.  There's gotta be a setting somewhere and I am hoping to find it...

Works OK for me with the new Teams client.
