I'm currently administrator for an association (about 50 membres), and we've been using OneDrive for a while now, the files are already shared the way we want them to with different groups (10 members per group and no more than two or three groups per folder).
My question is : Is there a way to use teams all whilst keeping the one drive, and when we share a file on teams that it is directly linked to one drive or that the file that is uploaded to SharePoint is directly synchronized with the version on OneDrive.
Seeing that we are not a very big association we can really only use one or the other (unless they are partially synchronized).
We only share documents for verification, but we would like the "verificatator" to only modify the original file and therefore not risking having duplicate files...
At the moment we are using OneDrive, and I want to keep the same interface for the users
We currently have 1tb with OneDrive does SharePoint and OneDrive or how does it work for SharePoint space ?
Also we're planning on creating a public SharePoint site, that will be used for only public files. Limited people will be able to write to this, but : how can I be sure that people won't be able to access the "non-public" files ?
The Files tab in a Teams Channel uses SharePoint - and when you add a file here it goes into a SharePoint library, but you can sync that library to the local machine so the files are accessed like the ones in OneDrive. AFAIK, there is no way to synchronise a SharePoint Library with OneDrive online.
In Teams, you can still use OneDrive online to share files in conversations and private chats.
For SharePoint you get 1Tb for SharePoint itself (for the whole organisation plus 10Gb for every user in the organisation so for example if you had a 100 users this would be 1Tb + (100 x 10Gb) = 2Tb total storage for SharePoint
OneDrive storage is in addition to SharePoint Storage.
