first of all i would like to introduce myself in this community. I am Willem Jonkers, 29 years old and I am currently working for LOKO IT in Zeewolde (netherlands). I am responsible for the adoption of Microsoft services and applications and I have a question regarding Microsoft Teams:
- I have been noticing that there is no option when creating a new Team/Channel to make the notifications (following/favorites) obligated for the people who are also members of that specific team, or am I looking at the wrong place?
This obligation is very important for me and colleagues because otherwise everyone needs to follow/favorite the team/channel manually, and this is not very efficient?
Follow up to what Adam said, in addition to favorite which is usually enough because you can then just make sure you use @channel mentions which will alert everyone similar to follow. Anytime I create a channel, best practice is to create a post, @mention anyone you want or think should follow the channel and a reason why and this way it calls out to them to do so.
There used to be a way for you to see who has a channel as a favorite and I'm hoping they bring this back soon with the whole channel roster feature that's being worked on currently.
