Notify when available feature in NEW Teams app

The "Notify when available" feature doesn't appear to be available yet in the NEW Teams application when the new app is supposed to have full feature parity at this point. It's a useful feature that I (and I know others) use often.  Is this feature going to be developed/released for the NEW Teams or is this not going to be available?

I switched back to old Teams after an hour or so, cause I need "Notify when available" a lot.

Good for all of you who are able to go back to the previous version. I tried to go back but the "go back to classic" feature it is not working for me 😞

In my case, I do not have "complete" control over the computer I use; as an employee, I am constrained by what the Security Office and the Windows Support team decides for me. Maybe they configured something in a way that does not let me go back. When I try to use the go back option, all I get is a message telling me that the "classic" version needs an upgrade, and I am back to the "NEW" teams. I cannot opt out of that. Shrug... so... enjoy the classic version, guys 🙂
BTW, I also hear negative comments from co-workers whose MS-Outlook has been upgraded. IT seems it is a breaking version. Apparently, there is a risk to lose contacts, email rules, and things like that. so... FWIW, keep an eye on that too. Cheers.

Agree Notify when Available is an essential feature and I'm switching back to classic Teams until it is added to new Teams

The last I heard, this feature is not planned to be added to the new Teams. However, all of you should click on Help > Give Feedback inside of your Teams client (lower left corner in Classic Teams and under the ellipsis next to your profile picture in new Teams) and provide this feedback. Microsoft doesn't always monitor the TechCommunity so you should submit feedback through the app and/or to the feedback portal.

Please note that you will all have no choice about using classic or new Teams come March 2024. Microsoft announced that anyone who was not on new Teams by then would be switched to new Teams by Microsoft.

If you are looking for your Contacts in new Teams, you have to add an app called "People" and you will find all of your contacts there.

Currently, if you uninstall Teams and reinstall, the default is new Teams. That is why some of you have had issues returning to Teams Classic.

Fully agree - "Notify when available" is one of the most needed features in MS Teams.

I use this feature to save me walking to see people who arent at their desks. This is good for building my steps but bad for productivity. I would like it back please.

When managing a remote workforce, this is an essential feature. It is a waste of time and effort to have to constantly check teams to see if someone has completed a call or gotten out of a meeting (it isn't like you can look over the cubicle wall). Assuredly one of the most anti-productivity design decisions made of late. This feature needs to be in the new Teams product.

I think it was never added since the reprogrammed the teams.... I guess they need to implement it in the new version aswell.
