Not able to create org wide teams

I am global admin in an environment that has just around 100 teams created and only two org wide teams. However me and another admin are unable to see the option in Teams to create an org wide team. I created my account via O365 admin center as was suggested as a solution in one post but it didn't help.

Hmm not even close to the limits and you also have a new cloud-created global admin account. I would probably reach out to the official support if another member don't reply with a thinkable solution.

It just took hours to appear. Now the option is visible.
