Teams meetings don’t end until the last person leaves the meeting (unless a presenter specifically ends the meeting by clicking end meeting).
Sometimes someone will join a meeting, then walk away, meaning one person is left in the meeting and it keeps going. If the meeting is recorded this leaves a long tail on the recording of no activity.
Coming in August, If a user is the sole participant in a meeting that has been identified as “stale”, the user will see a dialog prompting to end the call or dismiss the notification.
If no action is taken, the meeting will automatically end.
Microsoft hasn’t given us a definition of ‘identified as stale’ yet.
