NDI streaming security and network concerns

Brass Contributor

Hello

Is there a way to turn this AllowNDIStreaming for a single user? it appears this feature is controlled at a policy level.  If thats correct, then i would need to create a seperate meeting policy for any user that needs to use the AllowNDIStreaming feature? Also are there any security or networking concerns with turning this feature on ?

Solution
You are correct. It's a meeting policy setting
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/microsoftteams/use-ndi-in-meetings?WT.mc_id=TeamsAdminCenterCSH

As far as networking concerns not really you can read about the port use and other information here. It's going to be point to point bandwidth once a session is connected. Check here: https://support.newtek.com/hc/en-us/articles/218109497-NDI-Video-Data-Flow
